Shed Hot Sheds is a small family-run operation, started by Kris and Kelly Butcher. Kris is a born and bred Franklin local who prides himself on building good solid sheds and animal shelters at affordable prices.

Kris sensed the frustration of a close friend who bought a cheap mass-produced steel garden shed with cheap zinc hardware from one of the big stores, and was continuously fixing leaks. His friend ended up having to brace it with timber to stop the wind hammering it. Kris thought he could build something far superior for not a lot more, and that is where it all started!

Using the proven method of a solid wood floor, solid wood framing with Ply glued and fixed, colour steel roof, and fully galvanized hardware, these sheds and shelters will stand the test of time in the harshest of environments.

Kris’s chicken coops have been built using similar methods to his Garden sheds. Having been brought up in a rural area surrounded by animals and having chickens at home has given Kris a bit of an insight into some of the daily routines of these creatures and so the coops have been designed with this in mind.

Chickens also make great pets and having a supply of fresh eggs is a bonus. Your chickens will be proud to live in one of Kris’s coops and happy hens are productive hens!
